Abstract

The distribution of primary education facilities varies across different areas, creating a need for an information system capable of presenting these conditions from a spatial perspective. This study aims to analyze the distribution of primary schools in Semarang City and present educational information through a WebGIS platform. The dataset includes school locations, the number of public and private primary schools, students, and teachers across 16 sub-districts in Semarang City. The data were processed and integrated with administrative spatial information to produce an interactive map of school distribution. The results identified 513 primary schools, comprising 325 public schools and 188 private schools, with a total of 124,968 students and 7,217 teachers. Pedurungan Sub-district recorded the highest number of primary schools with 49 schools, while Tugu Sub-district had the lowest with 14 schools. These findings indicate variations in the distribution of primary education facilities across sub-districts. The developed WebGIS integrates spatial and educational information through interactive maps, graphical visualizations, and sub-district-level information, providing a comprehensive overview of primary school distribution in Semarang City.
